Felted Tweed DK by Rowan
Felted Tweed DK is a beautiful blend of 50% merino wool, 25% alpaca and 25% viscose. The yarn has a beautiful tweed effect, perfect for fair isles, striping and other colour work. The rustic colour palette makes this yarn a firm favourite.
Tweeds have a long history in the British Isles where there has always been a need for woolen outerwear to keep people warm and dry in the damp climate. From this long heritage, Felted Tweed was born. Like tweed fabrics, this yarn is slightly rustic however it has an inherent softness that comes from the Merino, and a slightly brushed texture enhanced by the alpaca.

It may surprise you that the magical combination of 50% lightly-felted wool, 25% viscose and 25% alpaca makes it supremely blockable and a gorgeous option for lacework as a result.
