Spun as a traditional 4-strands sock yarn, DROPS Nord is made in a combination of 45% superfine alpaca (for the softness), 25% wool (for the warm and shape stability) and 30% polyamide (for the strength and durability).

An easy to knit/crochet yarn, that gives clear stitches and that is perfect for warm, everyday garments, like jumpers, socks, hats and gloves, DROPS Nord is part of Yarn Group A and specially good for patterns designed for DROPS Alpaca, DROPS Baby Merino, DROPS Fabel and DROPS Flora.

This yarn has an Oeko-Tex® certification (certificate number 23.HPE.36896), Standard 100, Class II from the Hohenstein Institute. This means that is has been tested for harmful substances and is considered safe in human-ecological terms. Class II means the yarn is suitable to come in direct contact with the skin to a large extent, such as blouses, shirts, mattresses, etc.
