Winter Forest Tam Classes
This class is for those who wish to undertake colour-work whilst knitting in the round and produce a very wearable and practical item.
Week 1 will commence with discussing colour choices, different yarns and needle choices. You will cast-on and start knitting the ribbing and I will show you how to knit in the round whilst working the colour chart.
You will leave with all the knowledge you need to complete the main part of the ‘body’ of the Tam and return in 2 weeks to begin the next class.
Week 2 focusses on the decreasing section and a week later we will complete the final lesson where I will teach you the finishing techniques and then show you how to block a finished tam with a dinner plate !!
I limit the number of places available so I am able to give individual guidance and assistance. A printed pattern (by Ruskin’s Notes) is provided for you to keep.
Tea & Coffee are provided.
Week 1 2nd April 7 -9pm
Week 2 16th April 7 – 8pm
Week 3 23rd April 7 – 8pm
It is beneficial if you attend these classes with an open mind to using new techniques (cast-ons, knitting method etc) as the classes have been designed to maximise enjoyment and progress. We know it can be difficult to ‘let go’ of a favourite approach but you will be rewarded with adding more knowledge & choices for future projects, as well as achieving perfection with your Tam.
